FXB India Suraksha (FXBIS) provides developmental assistance to marginalized children, families and communities in rural and urban India. FXBIS works to reduce vulnerabilities in context with poverty, health, education, and security. In addition to two FXBVillages in Imphal and Tamil Nadu, FXBIS implements diverse programs to empower children and families.
Railway Children Program, Rajasthan
FXBIS runs a day-care centre near Jaipur Railway Station where children come to eat, sleep, relax and receive care in a protective environment. The children also receive informal education, computer education and are engaged with recreational and learning activities.
Women Empowerment Program, Andhra Pradesh
FXBIS is implementing women economic empowerment program in three selected villages. The project is covering more than 150 women to establish and strengthen community based, collective livelihood units in each of the villages.
Care and Support project, Andhra Pradesh
FXBIS’ branch in Andhra Pradesh State, Visakhapatnam is implementing comprehensive care and support project for 101 HIV/AIDS affected families comprising 156 adults and 146 children out of which 145 adults and 36 Children are HIV +; 126 adults and 25 Children are on ART.
Education Center for Tribal Children in Andhra Pradesh
FXBIS runs an education center based at Kodeli Village, Paderu, Hukumpeta Mdl, Visakhapatnam Dist, Andhra Pradesh. The selected village is a tribal village with about 100 households and 500 people.
Care and Support Project, Manipur, Imphal
FXBIS has been undertaking viral load testing initiative in collaboration with infectious disease laboratory of YRG CARE at Chennai which is a referral lab for WHO and NIH. In 2015, the initiative covered 100 numbers of PLHIV for the Viral Load testing.
Mukti Project, Manipur
Supported by ECPAT, FXBIS has been implementing the Mukti project in Manipur to reduce the incidence of trafficking in persons for commercial sexual exploitation in India.
Targeted Intervention with MSM & Migrants, Mizoram
Supported by Mizoram State AIDS Control Society, FXBIS’ Mizoram branch has been implementing MSM targeted Intervention project since 2008 to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS in India.
Vihaan, North-East states
FXBIS has been working as the Regional Sub-recipient for the North East in the states of Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal, Sikkim and Meghalaya under the Global Fund Round IV Phase II program to improve the survival and quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS by scaling up Care, Support & Treatment Services for the community.
WASH Project, Jharkhand
FXBIS is implementing an integrated Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) promotion project in Namkum block of Ranchi district, Jharkhand. The primary goal of the project is to improve the capacities of community institutions to access appropriate technology and help them develop safe and sustainable WATSAN systems to lead safe and healthy lives.
Child Line, Noida
With the support of Child Line India Foundation, FXBIS has been implementing Child Line in Noida. CHILDLINE is a 24/7 emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection linking them to emergency and long- term care and rehabilitation services.
Integrated Community Development Program, Pondicherry
This project is being implemented in Sanyasikuppam village with the objective of promoting integrated development initiatives among the community particularly in health aspects and elderly care.
Skill Development for the Youth, Meghalaya
This project is being carried out in 10 villages of Umling block of Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya. The main activities of the project are enterprise development for rural poor women led households, promoting agro allied livelihood activities through brooms making and honey producing clusters along with skill training program and employment promotion for youth.
Data collection survey for violence against Women and Trafficking in Women and Children in India, West Bengal and Delhi
FXBIS has been commissioned to support a team of Japanese consultants to implement a data collection survey for situation analysis report on violence against women and trafficking in women and children in India.
