We are pleased to announce that FXB USA is now an Associate Member of Locus, a new initiative to address development challenges!
As an initiative of nongovernmental organizations, foundations, and consulting firms dedicated to finding new solutions to development challenges, Locus focuses on integrated approaches and a search for evidence-based, local solutions.
Locus establishes a research agenda for integrated programming that helps eliminate funding silos, identify shared approaches to measurement, provide evidence-based recommendations to share with influencers and policymakers worldwide and drive adoption of locally owned, integrated solutions.
To transform the way the international development community approaches funding and implementation, Locus takes advantage of research pilot projects, global forums, publications, academic courses, and community of practice, bringing new approaches to tackle the increasingly complex development challenges.
Locus provides a critical platform for FXB USA to collaborate with peer international NGOs around shared measurements as a way to collectively strengthen the evidence base for integrated development. FXB can contribute its own expertise and experience in implementing an integrated program model such as FXBVillage for 26 years. FXB is eager to exchange experiences and learn from others in this space and actively contribute to Locus’ critical research agenda, community of practice, and global forums.
To date, its core members include Pact, IRC, FHI360, SNV USA, Africa Capacity Alliance, and Aga Khan Foundation USA.
